In order that a mother understands and can make use of her baby’s cry to interact, she needs to be able to identify what each cry means. As a matter of fact, when a baby is crying, most mothers tend to simplify the respond only by calming him or her down. They have no better idea about what the best thing to understand the cry. This is caused by two different ways of communication: the mothers use words to communicate while the babies use cry to do so. These two different worlds can be bridged if a mother understands what the meaning of baby’s crying.

Priscilla Dunstan, an Australian mother, has revealed the secret behind a baby’s cry. She describes that all babies aged 0 – 3 months use the same kind of cry as the language to communicate. She has tested more than 1000 babies around the world and found out many kinds of cries. But from those various cries, she simplifies into five understandable and defined cries. The following is what each cry is like and what it means.

1.Neh…neh…neh… means “I am hungry”.
2.Owh…owh…owh… means “I am sleepy”.
3.Heh…heh…heh… means “I am experiencing discomfort”.
4.Eair…eair…eair… means “I have lower gas”.
5.Eh…eh…eh… means “I need to burp”.

So, a baby is crying to communicate with his or her mother. In addition, she or he cries to attract attention. Similarly to adults, a baby does not like to be ignored. If adults scream or yell when being ignored, babies cry.

What is beauty actually? Every individual has different concept of beauty. It depends on where she or he is from culturally or what she or he values. However, we can simplify that beauty should include such aspects as personality, intelligence, grace, elegance and appearance. In other words, beauty should cast inner and outer side of a woman.

Commonly, a woman is judged beautiful by her physical appearance. Mass media has contributed much influence to shaping such a public point of view. A woman with tall and slim body, bulging breasts, long straight thick hair, fair complexion and pointed nose is considered as beautiful. To complete this judgment, the woman is required to pose herself with good clothes, attractive make-up, or smooth skin.

In fact, many women find it frustrated to take the public concept of beauty. It needs a lot of budget to do so. Those who are born physically beautiful are fortunate. They then dominate the public room and attract more admiration. They steer the concept of beauty as mass media iconize them in the news or articles.

On the other hand, those who are born physically so so, feel to be abandoned. So, to comply with such common criteria of beauty, they put concerning with physical aspects in the first priority. They take any way just to meet it. Undergoing plastic surgery or implanting silicon gel are common options taken by them.

Anyway, what should the ideal concept of beauty be like? To appreciate that every individual has respective quality, beauty does not only cover outer aspects but more importantly covers inner ones as well.

Outer beauty makes physical appearance important. However, the ideal physical appearance is not determined by sexy, sensuality, grace or elegance of mass media point of view but rather by health, grooming, charm and body proportion a woman has. Inner beauty, furthermore, complements the outer beauty to stand out. Attitude or behavior comes first before sensuality.

In short, outer beauty is nothing without inner beauty. Both come side by side like two sides of a coin. If one is absent, the other is non sense.

Women may opt to deliver their baby naturally. To do so, they must prepare their mental and physical fitness. However, if they are not ready with such an option, women may deliver their baby though Caesar surgery. This way is in the last decade becoming favorable since it offers less pain. Some women choose it also because it gives women a way to avoid experiencing extra stretch on their vagina so that it can prevent it from being wounded.

Water birth

Water birth is a method of delivering a baby in the water. Actually it has no difference from normal method. One thing that makes it different is the process is done in the water. A woman who would like to deliver her baby through this method must soak in a tub full of warm water of 36 - 37°C.

Water birth offers benefits to the women. First, it quickens the process of delivering baby. It takes only about 1,5 to 2 hours compared to the normal process which takes more than 2 hours. Second, the warm water in the tub helps the baby to-be delivered adjust to the new environment easily since the temperature of the water is almost the same as that of the mother’s womb.

Water birth, besides quickening the process and helping the baby adjust to his or her new world easily, reduces the pain and stress of the mother. The warm water can also help the mother feel more relaxed and comfortable because the blood circulates smoothly. Such a relaxed feeling will produce endorphin hormone, the hormone which can reduce stress.

Finally, water birth decreases the risks which might happen during the delivery: death, wound, bleeding, twisted, etc. Above all, a baby who is delivered through water birth will be fresh, clean and less stressed because the warm water makes the vagina more flexible and elastic. That way, the baby can come out smoothly.
